He will take us back in time for a glimpse at some of the unsung heroes and the notorious personalities who settled and worked the Oxnard plain. “The Sweetest Sounds: Richard Rodgers and the American Musical”

Richard Rodgers was a legendary influence on the art of the musical theater. He wrote or co-wrote many Broadway musicals and has won countless awards, including a Pulitzer, Tony, Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy. Bruce Collins will tell you about this extraordinary man and draw upon his personal musical collection of over 200 CDs to play some of Rodgers’ memorable classic songs such as “Getting to Know You” and “Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered.”
